Wordsworth apt quote, ' *The child is the father of man'* expresses the idea that the character that we form as children stays with us into our adult life. The character decides creativity. It is true that creativity is not equivalent to intelligence. A highly intelligent individual need not necessarily be creative. There is no significant correlation between the two. Creativity is more governed by the mode of thinking although a little intelligence is also required. It has to be remembered that creativity is extended over a period of time than limited to a brief period. Therefore it is childhood which we need to nourish.
